My old Max

Just want to tell my Max story.

I'm pretty new on the org, (well I was here long ago in the late 90's) but I've owned Maxima's for, jeez 10 years now. My 85 is on it's last leg, pretty sure the head is cracked, it is now a 4 speed instead of 5, the front end is wobbly, the Cat Converter is shot, but I keep it around for the memories, and I'll take it for a short cruise for groceries every so often.
I bought it for $1300 and the guy was pushing it one me, it had 150,000 miles on it and didn't run quite right, but I needed a car, I had it maybe 3 months and got the injector recall notice in the mail, they did about a grand worth of work for nothing, zippo, zilch and I was set, best $1300 dollars I will ever spend. That car got me through college, plus some (pushing 250,000 miles), and took one hell of a beating and kept on going.
I just can't see sticking the money in it to get it to close to what it once was, but I'm to stubborn to sell it too.

--we are a Maxima family, my brother's 89 (which he bought with 180,000 miles) is still going at 230,000, and my wife and I have a 02 that we love.
one other thing we have a cat named Minnie and I'm waiting to find the perfect puppy, to name...Max, of course!
