setting idle?

On my 87 Maxima how would I go about setting the idle correctly? I have been twisting the two screws in that thing (forget the name but its something controls idle) all the way on the passenger side rear of the intake manifold. It seems like the screw closest to the fender sets the idle with out acessories, and it seems like the other one is for the acessories. Does anyone know the correct way to set this...right now my car is idling too high. Thanks.

Okay
Thats the FICD. It sets the fast idle for warm up.
You have to have the car at operating temp before you set the idle. Then you need to put on the parking brake and put the car in drive(if its an auto). Make sure your timing is at 20 BTDC. Then turn the bottom screw clockwise to up the idle. The higher the timing is set the higher the idle will be so you may want to back it off if its at 22-23 BTDC.

what about the other screw? I have turned both of them, and would like to know how to set the acessory idle as well.

also, for the vacuum lines. Where does the one for the charcole canister go? Also the one come off the top of the EGR, where does that go? I am worried I have hooked up my vacuum lines wrong, several of them are about the same lengenth and could go more than one place.

The top screw sets the Fast Idle. The Idle for warm up. It should be a little higher than the normal Idle to warm your car up faster.
