ANyone ever had to change one of these...I think I got a blown one...I KNOW my exhaust leak is coming from the exhaust port at Cyl#1...(that's the back-side of the engine - oh joy!)...anyone had to deal with this?

It could be a busted stud...anyone ever have to replace one, ON THE CAR, from the back side?

What am I looking at here?

As for the deal, I have no idea what you have locally...and I do not have time to wait for one to be delivered...I have to go local...AutoZone doesn't even list them online, but I know they carry them...I am going with O'Reilly's Auto Parts - both exhaust manifold gaskets for $14.99

If it's a busted stud, get a replacement from another local shop that carries them, for $2.38 for a pair...

Well, for those who find themselves in the same boat, my local shops gave initial quptes of $300, and could go up, to replace these studs...

So I spent the weekend pulling off my back-side exhaust manifold...I had 5 out of 6 studs broken, and a warped manifold...so now the car is down again for a few days, while I source another manifold, or find a shop that can mill it flush...in addition to getting a drill in there to open the stud up enough to handle an ez-out...

This is gonna be FUN!
