Buy a rust free 1st gen, or paint the one I have?

I'm planning on painting my 1st gen Maxima this summer, but it does have some rust on the body.

I'm wondering, do you guys thing it makes sense replace some new body panels, and paint the Maxima I have... or should I try to find a rust free one... paint it, and swap my parts over to it?

I did the whole, swap the drivetrain, suspension and custom interrior on another Datsun... and I'd say unless you're getting some other bennefit, just swap some body panels, fix some other rust spots and paint what you got. I think I know you've got quite a bit of work on your Maxima so you'd be swapping a lot of Mechanics just to avoid some bodywork.

For me, I was also chaning body styles and getting better brakes which are not bolt-on modifications. (Datsun truck)
