Everything I see here is 1984+ I thought there'd be lots of classic maximas here. Ive only seen one really old maxima before and didnt get the year on it. :attention

 

I had (past tense) a 1977 Datsun 810 which was the biggest one they shipped over here before the Maxima. It was a straight line 6 cylinder
Z engine with rear wheel drive. I still have a few parts from it.
I don't even remember seeing a 1981 Maxima.

my neighbor has an 84' wagon and i see a lot of them here but never had the liberty of owning one.

i had an 81 sedan with 93k about 4 years ago i sodl it to some girl and then i have no idea what happends after that it was clean except fo rust around the sunroof it even still talked with the voice thing.

 

are those current pics? like-new condition, even hard to believe

 

Those pics are a few years old. It still looks like that. It is pampered and garaged. 100% original (except I had to change the tire height and width to make it look a bit more sporty.) The build date is October 1980. I bought it 6 years ago from my Grandpa who drove very little and pampered it as well.

 

Wow! thats it, Ive seen one before (NOT IN THAT CONDITION) It was actually the same color too....Im sure they didnt have the color selection like they do these days. Sweet though!

 

If anyone's near Jersey, there's a 1981 L24E Engine and transmission that comes with a 1981 Maxima station wagon up for auction.
