hydrolocked engine-now a parts car
well i hydrolocked my engine on the way to work today. so i will be selling my black 88 maxima se 5-spd as a parts car. just converted to nonadjustable struts all around, full tune-up, 4 new tires, reverse glow gauges, k&n panel filter. around 150K on car speedo didnt work, then temporary worked, then stopped again.
car is in hackensack nj $200 obo.

what did you do to hydrolock a tuned up engine?
if it turns over why dont you take the intake apart and the intake manifold off and take the spark plugs out?
and no they arent exactly cheap, i have personally gotten a "VG30E? oh they use that same engine in a 300ZX so its more expencive" excuse all the time...EVEN IF IT COMES FROM A PATH FINDER, MAXIMA, OR SOMETHING ELSE...
its always more expencive because they use a motor, with differently ground cams mind you, in a 300ZX....****ing dumb reason if you ask me but thats what i get every time

If you decide to part the car out I am interested in a few things. I need a driver side window switch control panel. Also would you be willing to pull the rear passenger side strut assembly...I do not need the strut or the roter, but the rest of all that stuff. Just let me know. Sorry to hear about the car.

Ditto, if you do decided to part the car, I'm looking for a engine crossbeam and a front tranny mount.
Also Niku: In most cases, if you hydrolock the motor, the motor is usually toast and would require a rebuild.
