Does K and N filters really increase horsepower? Are they worth the price?
Is it worth the trouble to customize a Cold air intake for the older maxima? Are they better than K and N filters? I am only asking because I am trying to do some mods to my car and I am going for the intake first than exhaust. Thanks for all the advice in adance.

 

why dont you get the best of both worlds and get a K+N and do a short ram?

 

Go to auto zone and you can buy the hose and do your own cold air and use the k&n filter...

 

Do I have to cut a hole in the fender well were the tire is?

 

theres already a hole in the fender...have you ever replaced the airfilter in your car?

go and take the lid off and you'll see the hole

 

what size hose do you buy? where do you run it to? help please if u can.

 

There is no hole. Its just the regular rectangular air box I have with a K and N filter in it. Do I need to take the air box off and put a plastic hose from where the regular air box was? Do I need to buy a cone filter? What size do I need to buy? Which brands are the best?
