Alright I am having trouble deciding what springs to get. People say Spring Techniques are a good brand. They are expensive thats the only draw back I see. The other drawbacks are they were not stiff enough. The other springs are Neuspeed. People said they handle well and was stiff but they sagged after so long. I am torn between them. The Neuspeed are 200 dollors for a set of 4. The suspension techniques are 80 dollors a picece. Keep in mind I need four spings. Cost does not really matter a whole lot I just want my max to handle like a dream. Whats better? Any other opinions?

Intrax $240 1.8"/1.6" lower
Suspension Technique $180 1.5"/1.5" lower

thats all i have ever seen

is there any average life to a spring before it starts to sag or is it all dependant on wear?

I think the ST Springs are the way to go. They lower the car enough without adjusting the travel extensively. Cardanas 87 maxima has them and his car had a nice stance. I am still pondering if I am going to lower my car or not. For now Im thinking of taking care of somethings in the suspension like bushings and alittle bit of things to keep the engine going strong.

The Neuspeed springs are avaliable at JC whitney.com. I dont know how much they lower your car though. I have replaced the control arm bushings, tire rod ends, and a sway bar link kit for the driver side. I am also replacing the shocks with KYBs. Do you know anywhere I can get suspension technique springs cheap? Also putting on a strut tower bar help any with handling? What about putting on a rear sway bar?

A strong Nissan Altima 93-97 Strut tower bar will do the trick. Be careful on ebays FSTB's I bought one and it sucked. It was like 7 bucks. So I got what I paid for. So, I put my custom built one back on. Make sure it is sturdy and by you or when you install it try pushing down on the middle portion and if it bends especially after the car is warm its not doing too much. My custom one is very strong. There were bracketing added to it to make it the length it needed to be but it makes a major difference. Also try the ADDCO rear sway bars. Tightens up the rear end like a charm.

If you don't mind modifying the strut bar brackets, the 89-94 VG FSTB works even better.

JC whitney had the suspension techniqure springs but they are all backordered and it will take 30 days to get them back in stock. Yeah that sucks. I find another site where they had them for $190 for 4 springs. Yeah I saved 120 dollors good thing I found that site. So do I have to drill or bend the 89 strut tower bar to make it fit? Jcwhitney had a strut tower bar for 60 dollors. Go check the site out for an 87 maxima tell me what you all think.

The bar itself you don't need to modify. You need to modify the brackets.

Does anyone know if there is any difference in springs between the sedan and springs for a wagon. Are the shocks the same? Does my 88 wagon have electronic suspension? Sorry for the questions, but I just got the car and I know nothing about them.

I Believe the rear springs in the wagon are abit stiffer than in the sedans, not by much though. You would know if your car had electronic suspension if there were buttons on the center console for firm or soft ride with a shock in the middle. I believe thats how it looks. Plus on the strut mounts in the engine bay there will be these black boxes with a connector not far from each.
