When you paint trucks all day, you tend to get a bit lazy with your own car!

There's just not enough 2nd gens left to let it go, and I've become quite attached to it! It's not perfect where the body line meets the wheelwell, the metal is just too stretched, but you can't see both sides of the car at the same time anyway. It's the same colour as before, Volvo (truck) silver, no colour too it at all just straight flake basically and a pain to lay down evenly because it's so transparent. I buzzed off the paint job pretty quick, I didn't get fussy with little door dings and stuff. I say there's only two types of paint jobs out there: Ones that look like crap, and ones that eventually look like crap. All in, the pull took a couple hours (might have gone quicker without the beer), the bodywork and welding another 4, 1-1/2 for prepping the rest of the car, an hour to mask and 45 mins-to an hour in the booth from mixing to cleaning my gun out. Basically if I wasn't so lazy it could have all been done in a day. I'll be on the lookout for the bumper trim, none of the wreckers out here have anything left. I got real lucky with the tailight, it was hanging on a nail on the fence!
