A moment of silence, please.

Yeah, I was stopped waiting to turn right and this woman in a minivan just plows right into me, no braking just literally drove right into the max. She pushed it about 10 feet. No injuries except for the poor Max having a sore ***. It's a write off, and the insurance company is going to throw some numbers at me tomorrow. I do have the option of keeping it and taking a cash settlement and fixing it myself though. It's at my shop right now, and I already pulled it a bit, it will go. I haven't decided whether or not i'll keep it yet, I might look for a decent 300ZX.

Well, they'll give me $1150 for it, bone stock without all the aftermarket stuff. That's about what I expected, considering it's 20 years old and still on it's original engine with 323,000 Kms ( just over 200,000 miles ). If I take a cash settlement, they'll deduct the salvage value of a whopping $150 from that and give me an even grand. So my logic says grab the cash and fix it. All I absolutely have to replace is a taillight, the rest is repairable.... stay tuned for the Return of the Max!

Here's the progress:
Stripped down and ready for pulling,

After chaining it down to the floor pots and a few pulls,

Now it just needs a bit of welding and give it a skim of filler. More pics as it progresses. It should be ready for paint this weekend.

Thanks, guys! It's had a lick of filler and is sitting in primer now. I managed to get the bumper cover reasonably straight too, it was a bit warped in the first place. I'll snap a few more pics this weekend before and after I paint it.
