just as the title says. i have a 97, and i know nothing about 88s.. it was either an 88 or 89..

what are some common problems i can tell him to ask the seller about?

 

If its an 88 then you can have him check to see if the injector recall was done(he can always have it done). Make sure he finds out when the timing belt was changed. They are suposed to be done every 60k with these cars, we have interferance motors so if the belt breaks while the car is moving you most likley loose the engine. Other that that just tell him to look for regular stuff, rust etc..
