I'm kind of new to the Maxima's and just bought one in December, but I've owned an 88 300zx with the same motor for 2 years so I'm pretty familiar with the motor. I was curious if anyone here has ever tried or heard of using the Pathfinder intake manifold as an upgrade over the stock one. The stock manifold is very restrictive and the Pathfinder manifold was a pretty common upgrade on the z's. Here is a link to the mod http://www.z31.com/pathy.shtml
What do you guys think? Would this work on the maxima's like it does on the z's? I think I'm gonna try it this summer anyway since it's pretty cheap, but I was just wondering if you guys had any input first.

 

avalon42 was looking at doing this. The problem is that hood clearance might be an issue. I say go for it if you can get the parts and want to be a guinea pig.
