New wheels for the daily driver.(56k dont think so)

Yeah, I know it's not for my Maxima. But it's something to share with my 1st and 2nd gen friend. I picked up a set of Volvo Volans, 17" rims. They are from friend of mine that has a 95 850 T5-R. The have a dark charcoal color.

So here we are:

Those are the popular ones. Ive noticed that alot of them even go up to the 18's but in 5 spoke. Glad to see you picked some up. Cant wait to see them installed. Quite a bit of curb rash but the overall look is nice.

Nice wheels, but man the tires look like the belong on a bicycle. How wide are they?

Khumo Ecsta Supra's are badass for handling though.

Yeah the tires are 205/45r17 compared to the 205/55r16 I have on the car now. For now they are cheap tires. When I go to replace them I will look at going with at least a 215 or 225...more likely the latter. The Ecsta Supras are good for handling? I'll have to give put them to the test. I'm much of a Yokohama Parada fan personally.

Yeah, they aren't quite as good at handling as the Khumo ASX's for the car in my sig, but they handle well for a tire that costs under $100. However, I went through them pretty quickly. I don't think I even had them for two years, and I only autocrossed on them one day.

Pics on the car? Do you subscribe to IPD? Time for TME springs perhaps?

man i have been doing tons to my car, i broke my head light again, burned up a rear wheel bearing, replaced the same bearing, tightned up a bolt so my exhaust wouldnt fall off, adjusted the timing again, re gooed the electrical connectors and dimpled them so they stay on with out the wire clips....and people call me lazy!

Pic's coming in a sec. I have an IPD catalog, and I check the site often. Problem with my car is there is no lower spring kit in the US for the 95-98 960/S90. The fronts are macpherson strut, but the rear is rather odd. It doesn't even have coil springs. It's either a single leaf for the entire axle, or 2 small ones...else I would jump on a mild lower (1" or less). With the wheels on now, it would make the car look nicer....but honestly, I already have one lowered car, and that's more than enough for me. This one is much nicer to commute to work with.

Going to try to do it this weekend. I haven't had much time to work on the Maxima considering I have a regular daily driver...and considering before the Volvo I have been a hardcore modder for 2nd gen's for 2 years. Sometimes you loose that little bit of ethusiasm for modding you know what I mean. And going back on the time, work usually gets me exhausted enough to that I don't want to deal with it. The stuff I've done with the volvo are very quick mods that doesn't take much time to do...that's why I've done them.

Looks good man, very updated.

My brick before I got the Max, I was going to do TME springs and sway bars but I stopped working on it to save for this car.

(sorry about the size guys..)
