How do you drive your car? Its possible you may need a new or rebuilt/ used transmission.

Clogged cat happend to you? No this is some thing to do with the transmission not airflow , My car wont shift right , I really doubt it could be due to back pressure coming back into the engine , I just had a new cat put on like 1 month ago...

did he say what kind of oil was in the transmission? it's obviously supposed to have transmission oil in it, but i can't think of any way that so much engine oil could get into it that would cause a problem. it won't be the shifter cable either. all that does is change it from Park to neutral, drive etc. from there the valve body takes over and decides where to direct the trans. fluid to put it into the respective gears. from what i can figure how you've explained it, it's got to be something like a slipping clutch pack, which means theres a drop in hydraulic pressure somewhere inside the trans. that could be anything from a failed seal to a faulty solenoid valve

take it to a REAL transmission shop and let them take a look at it. the $20 you spend there will save you hundreds, if not thousands later.

I took my car to Jiffy lube once, never again will I do that mistake. It was the worst. I took my car in for the complete fuel system treatment ($80 bucks) and all of a sudden the car floods or something. So they take a spark plug out and all this fluid shoots out of the spark plug hole all black and stuff and they were shocked but laughing like they got a kick out of it or something. I then get pissed but they said they could fix it. So to make a long story short I had to go to the Nissan dealer and have them install an O-ring that went with the spark plug hole and caused the missing I was having after Jiffy Lube had it. They tried to deny it was them but they got owned, they ended up paying me my $80 bucks back to me all because they ****ed up over a $3.64 O-ring.

You made your mistake by taking it to Jiffy Lube.

my dad had a problem with Jiffy Lube couple years ago he took his car there for an oil change and fluid check and when he went on the high way after they told him his car was done the car engine head gasket blew because the jeffey lube guy forgot to put the radiator cap back on. **** Jiffy Lube.

Yeah , My Mechanic said that , The reason its acting gay , Is because my Shifter cable is to loose ?? And it comes out of gear , And when i hit the gas really hard and hold it , Its stays in gear , But once i drive normal it wont stay in gear..

Hmm, Maybe torque converter locking in place not allowing the car to shift into gear and causing high revs,. Possibility. It happened to my gfs old Mercury Topaz back in the day. Sometimes while driving it would lock into gear and cause the car to not go over a certain speed and she had to get on it to unlock and shift into another gear. I bet that could be your culprit.

Any place that is open on Saturday for mechanic work = teh lose.

Take your car to a real mechanic and have them diagnose the problem. Then walk into Jiffy Lube with all the facts and ask them to explain how they plan on fixing the problem they created.

Huh? Lol ive raced many times a cable Gets loose 3 months later ... It will be fixed tommarow , all that happens is shifter cable is loose so it comes out of gear , And when i step on the gas hard , Movment causes it to go back into place.

purring like a kitten?? i assume hes talking about the engine which would have nothing to do with the tranny. please take the advice of others to take it somewhere else for gods sake.
