Engine Control Fuse Blows...Engine wont stert

the car will not crank sometimes, and the engine control fuse keeps blowing. sometimes the engine will crank over but not often. when it does it starts right up until i put it in gear and it dies when i give it gas. the motor does shift position a bit because i need to replace the rear motor mount. could it be a short somewhere? and if so does anybody have an idea where to look.its a a 88' AT. any help is appreciated.

It sounds like a short to me. I would also try to get codes if you can before the fuse pops.
