I got the new radiator from 1800-Radiator for the Maxima on Fri (should have had it Wed. but FedEx messed up my address and it was shipped somewhere else 1st!). So even tho I wasn't feeling gr8 today the idea of having a car to drive in w/ice cold AC (w/o overheating!) was inspiration to change the radiator.

Not too hard to take out - kept the double electric fan attached - and pulled the rad. and fans out all in one. Old rad. was crap, fins breaking apart rusty at touch! Mounted fan to new rad., installed, filled and started. No leaks, running nice in the right temp range. Standed to reinstall the plastic scrape shields underneath and I am greated by hot coolant coming out from under the rad. onto my face! WHAT!? I think mayve the overflow is coming out since the car heated up and I had too much coolant in! Nope, overflow goes to bottle (this is not the '68 Stang Mike!), start car to try to see where coming from, still dripping coolant, not coming from the lower hoses. Can't find it! Figure I got a bum radiator. Take new one out! Find a small pin hole on the front side of the lower part of the rad! Geeze!

New rad. coming Tues, have to send old one back!
No rain today, could have went to the Ford car show in Kingston!!

Mike
