1st Gen Radiator Upgrade

The stock 2.4L Maxima runs a 2 row radiator. The stock diesel Maxima runs a 3 row radiator. If you've upgraded your 2.4L or swapped in a 2.8L and need a upgrade in cooling ability... buy a radiator for a diesel Maxima. I got mine new for $125 shipped.

Weights:
New:
19.77lbs Dry
29.32lbs Wet (full)

Old:
19.15lbs Dry
25.68lbs Wet (full)

(Total weight gain 3.6lbs... not bad)

Capacities and weights probably vary by manufacturer, but I dont imagine by much.

Actually, it also just helps to ask how many rows the core has... some places sell the same 3 row for both the 2.4 and the Diesel.

I got mine at radiatorbarn.com ... I remember the guy saying it was the last one in stock. I just checked their site, and aparently they raised their prices for their next batch ($155 now).

Wow.... great tip. I need to replace the one in my Maxima. When
the originla blew up I installed a used one out of my old
demolition derby Volvo 240. It's been working fine but it's a bit
smaller than the original.
