When tightening the alternator belt in my 1984 Max I removed the power steering pump. Of course putting everything back together, I forgot to replace the lower mounting bolts for the PSP. Can anyone tell me the diameter, thread and length of those two bolts (I think they are 10 or 12 mm)?

Thanks

Hi newbie, You must have them somewhere nearby if you took them off, or did the dog, or a squirl run off with them???? Try what you have left over!!!!

Nope. Drove off with them sitting on top of the valve cover.

You might want to try giving your local nissan dealer's parts department a call. Those bolts shouldn't cost too much. I paid a visit to my local dealer while I was in the neighborhood to price the lug nuts for the aluminum wheels and they only wanted $5 apiece. I didn't get them, but your bolts should cost less than that.

If you want to go to your local hardware store to get some regular bolts, I measured the ones from my Maxima which has a power steering pump [GM (Saginaw) make]. The bolt head size is 14mm. The length is 1 5/8 inches including the bolt head. The threaded part sits inside a 10mm box wrench.
I don't have anything to measure the thread size itself.
Each one has two washers: one is 7/16" (a locking washer), and the other is 7/8"
I hope this helps a little.

Thanks I remembered the head size was 14 mm which made the standard 10 mm bolt the correct size (1.25 mm thread pitch standard fine). Got some in 50 mm length - might have to cut them down some.
Thanks again for your help
