expansion valve location

anyone know where the expansion valve for cooling/heating goes in our cars. I know it is somewhere under the dash, but it is well hidden. I can't seem to find the chilton nor the hayes manual I have for my car, anyone know?

Follow the A/C lines, the end of the smaller line attatches to the evaporator, and thats where the expansion valve is located. It's probably inside the heater/A/C ductwork under the dash, and it requires the dash to be taken out of the car! Why do you think it's bad???
Good luck, Earl
