howdy, i've finally driven a 1st gen max...must i say i'm very impressed.. my uncle has kept the car in top notch condition...but there is a problem. the seatbelt light keeps blinking...any ideads on trouble shooters to fix teh problem?
btw the 1st gem max runs like a champ still.

If your seat belt warning light does not go off seven seconds after your ignition switch has been turned on you have a faulty time control unit.

 

You might check the seat belt buckles. There are two wires going to each buckle. If any one of them is disconnected the light will blink.

Mine did that when the automatic retract system failed because it did not seat properly. If yours has the auto system try helping it retract a little farther and seat properly into the switch
