about to put my 2nd gen back on the road
Iam about to put my 87 back on the road. Its been sitting for a couple years but it starts up and runs. The car is just gonna be used to beat around in so me and my dad dont put miles on our cars. Iam gonna change the oil and coolant. Is there anything else i should change? Also my rpm gauge stopped working before we stopped using the car. I think the old altenator was over charging and the rpm gauge stopped working. anny ideas?
Thanks
Thanks
I just picked up an 88 wagon last month. It had been sitting in a garage for 6+years. It's low mileage, so most things are still in like new condition. I did the following.
changed oil
coolant flush+Tstat
Checked everything that was rubber.
Checked plugs and wires.
Gas? Well, I had a half a tank of 6 year old gas, and I drove it out. Then refilled it with premium and a can of seafoam to clean things up.
check your wheel bearings and all your front end stuff, and you should be good to go.
