i have a 1987 maxima wagon which something, a short or something has completely drained the battery. the alternator and battery are 3,000 miles old. i was wondering if this is perhaps a common problem that someone may have a solution?
ive checked every thing i can think of, wires, etc.
thanks

you can start by taking fuses out one by one and seeing if there is still a current draw. When the draw stops you know you are in the right direction for finding the problem

Check your cylinder head temperature sensor. I have seen where the thermistor shorts and draws too much current.
