you have to change out all of the wiring under the dash and the fuel float in the gas tank i believe, converting to digital is a way bigger pain in the **** than its worth

I'm not giving you wiring specifics, but I'll give you an idea of what's in store. You'll probably have to rewire the harness regardless, because with the 2nd gen, the climate control wiring is bundled into the same harness. As well as all the stereo wiring, switches, ect.. Which vary greatly between trim levels. Some have an EQ, trip computer, some don't. Some have auto climate control, some have manual. Unless you have auto climate control along with your analog gauges, then you have to swap (rewire) the instrument cluster connectors, unless you want to convert to auto climate control as well.

Compare analog/digital diagrams and rewire. If you're incapable, then you better start looking for a factory digital GXE. I doubt you're going to get much more help being a noob and DEMANDING answers. You're lucky anyone even responded to you, whether you were joking or not.

First off I wasnt demanding an answer I simply put that as a topic because of SOME people on these forums.do not like tp give a straight foward like you sir

But anyways back to the cluster, I still have a slight issue with all this because I do not have the wiring harnesses to the original digital dash so any suggestions on that ?

And thanks for the SMART answer

Your gonna have to source one from the jy. Gl with that because there aren't that many left around. If you find one I suggest snagging the whole setup so if theres something down the road later you forgot/ didn't get you're covered.

So you have the display assembly itself without so much as pigtails? You can't even bench test it without connectors, so step one is to find a set.

Either that or running a sub-harness setup.

There is no sub harness, it's one large harness with umpteen connectors all around.

"Pigtails" is in no way a technical term. Just a shortened way of describing electrical connectors with wire leads in tact. Nissan only sells complete wiring harnesses for the most part. I think they do make some exceptions for headlight connectors or radio connectors, but definitely not instrument clusters.

for aanyone else interested.......

remove the interior harness from the SMJ (super Multiple Junction) which is nder the dash on the drivers side left leg. youll need a lot of vaseline to squeeze in there and a 10mm socket or wrench. then youl need to mount the digitaal fuel kevel sending unit in the gas tank. im a dangerous baller so i welded a bracket into the gas tank without dying. then presto.
