"Driver Inattention"

from the way it looks I'm f88k, more then likely will end up with a savage title, along with having to pay to fix part of it, still waiting to see how much they are going to give me....

I'm sorry to hear man! I hope you rebuild. It doesn't look that bad. I don't want to see this go to the junk yard. It's way too clean.

Take what you can get, total vehicle and then buy back to fix.

Definitely clean and should be brought back to how you had it.

Good luck and glad that all things considered no one was hurt.

yep totaled, just waiting to see how much I'm going to get. yes I have all intentions on keeping her, hoping I get enough to at least get the parts paint is going to be a issue till I get a bunch of money (made $10900 this year) so if anyone has parts laying around please let me know. I did send the ins. guy this as a reference.....
http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars...ma_164628370_3
along with a list of work that has been done for the last couple years such as timing belt and cv shaft, and such.....

I did tell the ins. agent that he might want to find someone else to work with since the guy that did the quote for them was dumb enough to try and open the door after the fender was pushed back, I was right there and I yelled at him in time enough that it just chipped the paint on the door.....

as far as no one getting hurt I did bring up the fact that his company was lucky it wasn't one of the kids from the hood riding their bike or something..... since the guy was driving though a residential area that has kids in it and where the roads are wide enough for 4 mid size car to fit in the road all at once.......

well keep tuned in to see what I do with the money that I get.....

PS. it seems telling a ins. agent that his company is forcing you to drive a unsafe car since it is your only source of transportation and you work till 9pm, seems to light a small fire under their butt

well got all the parts I needed, but they are GL parts, working on turning them into SE parts, so far have the marker light taped off and one coat of black primer on same with trim part, fender sanded down with a light coat of primer on, going to sand again tonight and make sure I have all the little dings taken care of, then on to the hood. thinking about keeping the Maxima badge on it, haven't decided on that yet I will have to pull it off to paint.....

can't really do that at this point, it was a fight to get what I got.

got a make shift paint booth set up last night and started sanding on the hood, I have to work for the next two weeks so it's just a few hours after work and it's still a little to cold to paint (under 50) most nights so I have just putting a light coat on when I get done sanding for the night so I don't have any exposed metal......

made a rockauto order and dropped $90 at partsgeek, can you guess what I ordered it's only 2 parts and it was $90 with shipping

have hood and fender in primer have a few spots to touch up yet, have grill and trim sanded ready for primer, have to wait till it warms up again to be able to paint.... most of the parts I ordered are in still waiting on a couple things, think I'm going to pick up a clutch while i'm at it, if everything goes well think she will be on a lift on the 22nd being pulled apart and put back together with a bunch of new parts, going to try to do it all in a weekend, going to be in a buddys shop with a lift and all so should be able to. Not going to deal with the intake at this point that I need some time to clean up and make all shiny on the inside.

Keep it up man, been there before. Took me a few years until I found a matching front end in the same condition as the rest of the body. And in the meantime I got hit again at the B pillar.

well not overnight from Japan but close enough

final coilover set up

up she goes

time to put new stuff in

So that was my weekend, replaced rack and pinion, clutch, water pump, timing belt, control arm bushings, struts, ball joints, drive shaft. Only had one little (but big pain in the azz issue) the rack that I had bought had a fine threaded bolt put in the high presser line for shipping, so had to get that strighten out to keep it from leaking (like as fast as you could put fluid in it was coming out) should have caught that before I put it all together but I think at that point I was at the point of what the hell did I get myself into I don't have that much time to get this back together so I can get to work....... there is not a 13mm tap in this town......

she seems to ride nice kinda stiff but not to bouncy, I'm happy with it so far, going to do the back in the next few weeks.
