I am looking for a 1985 nissan maxima sedan. Loaded, moonroof, with the talking security system(not sure what called exactly). I will purchase whether it is running or not, as long as it is fixable at all...please and thankyou...my email is zoonightclub@yahoo.com.

 

I think there is a waiting list around here somewhere are you looking only a 85 or just a 2nd gen?

 

I have my mind set on a 1985 but could possibly take a 2nd generation if they were similar and have the talking security system..thank you.

 

The '85 is the first year of the 2nd gen Maximas, '85-'88. In my opinion, the '87-'88's look a lot better than the '85-'86s. See my '87 in my sig below...

 

the only differences between the 85/86 and 87/88 is the side trim, wider on the 85/86 and the headlights, 87/88 they are taller and run from under the hood to the bumper. the SE will have black trim and the GL will have chrome trim, SE will have the sport seats and GL have big squishy seats. All should have voice warning system, which isn't part of the security system, it's just the warning system for doors being open or lights left on, fuel level is low........ now you are looking for a car thats 30 years old and there is a chance that if you find one and it's doesn't work or has been taken out, odd things have been done to these cars at time when the person working on it doesn't understand wiring or didn't care to take the time and fix things the right way....... I will keep my eyes open for you, are you willing to take a wagon?
