Engine rotates but wont start

I have a 86 maxima it ran fine then one night it wouldnt start. It has new cap, rotor, plugs and wires. I replaced crank pos sensor with used one but still won't start. Its not getting fire at all so I thought coil but it test good resistance is just a little over on primary. Im thinking ignition control module does anybody know how to test this or give me some more ideas on what to check

I would check the CPS first just to make sure it is working, and that all plugs and grounds are in good shape

Ok im having the same problem again I was driving down the road and started running rough, at stop sign died and wont start back. I checked the codes and crankshaft position sensor is on there again. Is it likely the used one I put in is already bad or is there something else that could cause the cps code?

check wiring, make sure it's not shorting out on the back valve cover, there is a spot where the wiring can rub. The one you put in could be back if you pull the cover from under the rotor in the distributor you will see the tone wheel, it is a simple system, a LED that shines though a slotted wheel with a light sensor that that picks it up on the other side, make sure the slots aren't blocked and there is no gunk on the LED or pick up. Make sure it is timed properly.
