Water pump et al

Okay, I'm new here and need to replace a water pump. Done this on easier cars (Porsche 924). I have already searched and read as many posts from the past. Can I please get some other questions answered?

I have pretty much decided to change the timing belt and tensioner. How much more difficult is this?

Is it easier to do this work with front end on ramps?

How hard is it to change the cam and crank seals?

cam crank seals I wouldnt know never done that. Timing belt and water pump, I would suggest going to a mechanic shop that has a great price. To me working in that cramped spot is very hard, how they do it I dont know. I had both my timing belt and water changed last year for 200.00. And they did a great job too. I would suggest going to a shop to do those. Oh and get the haynes manual on our cars and if you can get the factory manual for your yr car if you can, those will be most helpful with all your ?s you asked here. I have one.

The cam/crank oil seals aren't that hard to replace. I'd say the hardest part is removing them, the FSM says to use a screwdriver and remove the seal. But in order to get the cam gears off you have to remove the valve covers and use some vise grips to hold the camshaft still. Or you could remove the camshaft rear plate and just have someone hold a ratchet on the otherside.
