I've recently changed the spark plugs and wires on a 88 maxima and now it's running rough? Like it want to cut off even when i'm driving and stopping at a light. Could there be another problem i've over looked?

What type of spark plugs and wires did you install?

Could be a factor. Our cars are really sensitive to change.

The Bosch wires aren't bad. But the Delco plugs might not be working. AC's are generally for GM's. Try maybe Fram's, or maybe some NGK's. The heat range and gap of Delco's aren't meant for imports.
Also, check the gap of the plugs. Just because they may be "pre-gapped" doesn't mean squat. A lot of gaps change over time, especially with shipping to suppliers, and long shelf lives.

try the NGK plugs. They are supposed to be one of the best for the vg30 engine.

Are the v-power plugs the top of the line for NGK?

Check your distributor cap and rotor, also check your plug wires. Those are alot of the times the culprit, also make sure your timing is set correctly, good luck

Check the connections to the injectors, they may need to be cleaned or replaced. there is a wire loom kit for about $35 to replace all six injector connectors. Also the hoses on the idle air regulator and other vaccume lines may have cracked when changing the plugs.

I've found out what the problem was. The distributor cap had a crack in it and corroded the rotor.
