that its great to see the 2nd gens are growing slightly. I dont have any "REAL" mods, nothing like you guys. just some catz fog lights and a great sound system. Question though, does putting on the bigger rear sway bar on the back, will it make you need to get an alignment? But the only thing engine wise is the custom cone filter I am adding and so far I am trying to find a strut tower bar thats long enough for our struts width and try to find some one to make custom strut bar braces which in my mind wont be hard to make. I could do that my self with a little engineering and sodder. well anyway my dream of my car was to be a nice low drop. OK TO let you all picture my car its the rare color scheme of top bronze, bottom white but its a great color scheme. I like better than the plain all white or the other two tone max color combination. It could be becasue its my car though. But anyway I wanted to lower it and put some blue metal look rims on it. Ive seen these on a yellow 200 sx and looked sweet. Then add a nice touring wing and a front spoiler to go along with it. As a muffler nothing too loud just a nice silent but able to be heard low hum, like a porsche kinda. then the usual fstb and rear addco sway bar, bucket seats, an under drive pulley and some other mods nismo87se has done. Wouldnt be bold enough for other major stuff hes done though. thats my insight of my max. I had it all planned out in texas. but not with a good paying job. Now that I have a good paying job, my dad pointed out doing these things would be waisting money on my car because its an '88. I wish I won the lottery or won like 1k dollars. hmm I should start calling the radio to be the fourteenth caller lol and win 1k dollars. WELL I hope to scan some pics of my car. I already have them. I dont have photoshop so maybe some of you wizards will or could do the photoshop thing for me and I would just let you know what I wanted done. hehe. but ok this is getting long so time to throw the duece. the rear sway bar wont make you need an alignment. It is just a bolt on item. You should try doing the cold air intake. I have a dynomax muffler on my car. It is not loud at all, it just puts out a low tone. JUst get some lowering springs and better shocks and the car should be handling very well. I am in the process of designing a front strut bar so when i do it ill let you know how i did it.

 

My parents said the samething, why spend money on an old car. But here is the deal the same amount of money is going to be spent anyway (actually its cheaper for my car hehe). Assuming I had a 3rd gen VE or a 4th gen no doubt I would be making payments. I hate being in debt, since my max was paid off years ago its sweet. Personally I don't see why I should spend like $8k for a 4th gen just to spend another $3k in mods. When could just dump $3-5k into my max and be happier with what is done. But by the time maxus 01 comes my max will be ready for it. Believe it or not we have reliable engines, its just that fate/**** happens. As for my mods, they were cheap and effective (heads/cams weren't hehe). If your looking for mod idea's I would suggest upgrading the brakes because maxima brakes suck ***. You can try 90-96 300zx or 91-94 Q45 brakes to upgrade. Of course you will need some 16" rims and custom SS brake lines but hey that is the fun part. For the interior I suggest getting some SE-R or 300zx seats they are very comfy .

 

this summer. If things go well I might be getting SSY's max by this summer. Its already modded and I know its in good condition, I would be making payments though. and its a 96 black five speed check the southeast forum look at the link , I think the update on nissan meet link he listed everything on his car there. So after getting into school my objective will be to saving up for the car. Ill be checking it out this weekend if hes at the meet.
