Ouch!!!

today was a bad day...
i was heading to work to pick up my pay check around rush hour. traffic backed up, i need to get to the light to turn and get into work. so its backed up about a block and i decide to run thru the turn lane all the way to the light. a ford ranger (2 wks old) meets me in the turn lane where other cars had let him out of the gas station... CRUNCH!!! the ford flips on its side and i run over and help the guy out of his car. 83 max diesel totaled. ford lots upon lots of damage. im sad. i am now an advocate of seat belts too. be safe. hope you learn from my experience.

Sorry to hear about your Max. At least you were okay though. It always sucks to wreck a car, but a new Ford Ranger is much easier to replace than a 19 year old Maxima. I've only seen one 1'st gen Maxima in the past 2 years that I've owned my 2nd gen, so they are very rare cars, especially with the diesel.

Well, best of luck in your car search, hopefully you'll luck out and get another 1'st gen diesel in as good as condition as the one you had, but hey, I'm sure you'll be happy with any Maxima you get.
