The other night I got pulled over on my way home from work.Apparently on the one two shift I "chirped" (that's what the cop said) the tires. This is a common problem I have . If I throttle it at all going into second, especially around corners, it always does that. Gettin out of work at bar time doesn't help either I suppose. You guys have that problem? '82 Max L28E 5spd. More torque than self control.

how fast do you take your turns? I know my max feels funny going too fast around the corners, so I try to stay under 20 (or 15 heh). My wheels don't chirp then. But yeah, some cops will try to pull you over for anything anyway.

Maybe it's not.
New tires, yes, on the agenda, thet're not bad, or should I say worn. Some crappy off brand. yeah, they gotta go Cornering speed? hehehehe I don't know I try getting sideways. I come in fast and about halfway in with the brakes on I let out the clutch at fairly high RPMs in 2nd,always works with the MG. The Max won't go sideways, it just grabs and goes. It was easier to get my old FWD 1st gen W-Body Grand Prix (I know Pontiac = YUCK!) I also notice the rear end squats quite a bit even under normal acceleration. Rear strut and/or spring problem? Thanks for the input.

Could it be wheel hop?
My friend just got a new car, (civic dx with some motor swap... i dunno, it's not important) But when he shifts to second, if the rpms are a little high, his front wheels chirp and bounce a little bit... I don't know if me saying this will help or not, but what the hell right?

Makes sense if...
the springs and struts are bad and the tires suck. Not much weight over the back tires to stop it from happening. Thanks for the input!

Cops need to work on the overpopulation of donuts in their respective counties/cities.

Getting pulled over for wheel chirp? Give me a break. Just to **** a cop off, I'd cut the cheese really loud as he walked up to my window. A$$holes...
