Cooling Issue with 88 Maxima....

I've slowly noticed over the past couple of weeks and
about a month or 2 the cooling capacity of my car...
88 Nissan Maxima...5 speed..

The temperature gauge now stays around the middle all
of the time ever since the hot weather started instead
of dropping down a little on the cool side like it used
to in previous weeks.

The car doesn't overheat and the cooling fan runs as
it normally does at the proper temperature.

I am assuming that my "water pump" is slowly going out.

any ideas here ?

thanks...

Re: Cooling Issue with 88 Maxima....

Try spraying across the fins of the radiator, I'd suggest removing it also to clean the inside. Be sure to remove the 10mm nut on the back of intake collector so you can bleed all the air out of the system.

Is that the only way to get all of the air out
of the system ?

also, what are the fins of the radiator, and I
assume you mean spraying water across them ?

thanks..
