I had my 85 worked on and it runs better then ever but now it has a fast idle that it never had before. It will idle at 1700 rpms for about three min. until it starts too go down. This is driving me crazy because I think it is hard on a cold engine. The mechanic says that there is nothing he can do about this. What do you think?

There are two idle screws. One is for when the engine is warm and the other for when the "idle up" selonid is activated (engine cold, AC on, etc.) The screw that is right above the two wires (also more deeply recessed that the other screw) is the idle up (fast idle) one.
