WTB: VE 5spd Swap and Rear Disk Swap for GXE

Like the title says, I want to finally make my car into the best performing Max I can get by swapping it from the slushbox unreliable auto to a VLSD VE 5spd and adding rear disk brakes. Anyone who has a parts car or individual parts or who knows where I can get said parts, please let me know asap. Thanks.

as i said in my other thread, i can get you a full VE5 tranny setup for $275 (if your car is already 5spd). I thought you already did the VG5 swap? If you are gonna need all the other items (clutch pedal, shfiter, etc) too then it's obviously gonna be more expensive.. maybe another $100 or so and all you have to buy is your own clutch (and my flywheel ). Let me know. There is a VE5 at the JY near me, and if you want to make the drive up here to pick up your parts, i can still get it but we'll have to work quickly. (i can't even guarantee it's still there, but if you give me your phone# i can go out to the JY and actually call you and tell you on the spot if it's there)

If you want to get it all, i will grab it for you but i'll need immediate payment once i confirm that i have the parts. If you want to wait a few weeks after i have them, i can store them at my house, you can come up here on a friday evening and i can help you do the swap and you can drive home with the 5spd installed on your car (for a small fee, depending how much help you need or if you need me to do it all, etc)!

I can get the rear disc stuff too. I can even MAYBE put together a Z-rotor-compatible setup for you along with getting the ebrake cables. Dunno how much that will run.

Dude! Talk about full service!

Well, truth is I've been planning a 5spd swap for a while but haven't been able to get hold of a parts car locally. I have also been trying to save up the cash, so if you get a chance to go to the parts yard soon and see a VE5 there with all the parts, give me a call. I will PM you with my number. I'm not sure I will be able to do it immediately but I'll let you know.

Thanks again.

Are you willing to pay shipping? UPS said it would be about $120 to ship a 150lb package from KC missouri to Alachua FL.

Well, I guess that depends on your selling price. Do you have a donor car that has all the necessary parts? I think the tranny weighs more than 150lbs. at least the auto does. Plus all the other stuff. Maybe a trucking company would be cheaper.

Anyway, let me know what you have and if you are willing to ship. I can possibly get shipping quotes if you don't. Thanks.

Yes, I did Caped. Sorry, I've been busy. I'm currently working on buying and selling a jeep wrangler, so depending on how much profit I make and when it sells I'll be able to make that work. Thanks for looking out for me. I really do appreciate it. If there's any chance I can do it I'll let you know.

Sorry I normally work on 300zxs and not on maximas so I don't know all the parts you need. What I have is a 5spd 1992 Maxima SE that used to have the VE30DE engine in it. The car has been sitting for about 6 years. Everything is there except the engine and window regulators. If you can get me a list of the parts you need I can get you a price. If it brings the shipping down I can ship from a commercial address in either Leavenworth, KS or Belton, MO. On Monday I can check a few trucking companies.
