WTB: VE + 5 SPD (International Shipping)

Since the Aussie dollar is on the climb, I figured I might investigate this avenue of intrest of mine.

Does anybody have approximate weight and dimensions of everything I'd need to do a VE30DE / 5MT Swap ? Could easily fit it all onto a single pallet, if the engine was disassembled (I can always buy a gasket set and rebuild it here).

Cheers Fella's
-Nic

(PS: Yes, I am still alive, just been a very busy boy with this cursed import of mine )

I was doing some research for another guy in Australia who wants to do a 5 speed swap on his VG, and figured up ~200-220 lbs in just the full transmission swap stuff (including transmission, clutch, flywheel, brackets, etc.). I don't remember what the VE engine weighs, but it's probably floating around here somewhere. Of course you'd need the ECU and wiring harness too

Yeah...also need engine and gearbox mounts...(the crossmember is the same, right ?)
Intake piping, exhaust manifolds (I assume only the headers are different, and can join up to a VG exhaust?) And little ****, like some interior trim, clutch pedal, clutch lines (soft, I'll make my own solid lines since its RHD here).

I didnt know the VG's came in a 5 speed ??
Did you work out a rough price on those items shipped out ?

Yeah, the crossmember is the same for both VG's and VE's. The exhaust from the cat. converter back is the same between VG and VE, but you'll need a VE y-pipe.

VG's came in 5 speeds here. The '89-91 SE is just a VG with a manual transmission.

IIRC, a rough shipping estimate for that weight was about $300
