FS: RS5F50A (Non vlsd 5spd Tranny)

I have acquired as the title says a 5spd VG transmission. It does work from what I can tell (no binding/ grinding when turning the input shaft and it shifts fine). I don't know the mileage on it. Things that aren't included are the starter (of course), slave, brackets and mounts. It does have the speed sensor, clutch fork and throw out bearing (you should replace if purchased). I need to clean the tranny up and I will post pics tomorrow. I might go ahead and replace the axle seals, striking rod oil seal and the clutch fork boot. I'm asking $300 for it if you want me to replace the items listed above. $250 to ship as is. (Cost of shipping not included in price. PM me your zip)

I've sat back and watched and it seems this is the season to do a 5spd swap for a lot of people. So whether you've got a 2nd or 3rd gen with a VG and want a 5spd this should be right up your alley. It may not be a VLSD, but thats less you have to swap over or source when installing. There is a possibility that I might be able to get the shifter and linkage. If desired as a complete package (shifter, linkage and tranny) $340 including replaced seals and boot. $290 without replacing seals and boot.

Cmon I know somebody wants to snag this at least for a spare tranny.

Nope it's 32005M it makes the backup light work when you hit reverse. Also tells the ECU when the car is in neutral.

Sorry man I traded it a while back for a spare vlsd tranny. Unfortunately it doesn't have second but everything else works fine. If your interested in that I could work something with you. If you really desire the non vlsd. I'm pretty sure I can obtain on for you.

I am in need of a working manual transmission. Mine that I swapped in gave out. My zip is 35630 and I have a commercial location with a mini dock, but it's probably not what they require...... I am on a budget, but want to make it worth your while too. New seals would be awesome, but the fact that it works is most important. When was the last time you used it? Where would you be located, Houston or Missouri? I might be able to meet you if you travel in between the two, but please elaborate what you would need from me. Thanks

So thats what happened to you. Wondered what happened to you. Currently I am in San Antonio. I can check on shipping cost (probably gonna be most expensive) and work from there. It is alright with you that it doesn't have second? I'm finishing up my 3rd gen and my 5.5 is down so meeting up with you is kinda hard right now. The last time I drove with the trans was about 6months ago. Could use the space and $ right now. Like I said you'll have to replace second but all the other gears are fine. I'll try to post a vid in a sec from the night it was driven. Let me know if you want pics cuz right now its still cracked open (exposed internals) in container.
