91 Maxima Se Manual trans for sale (needs bearings)

Hello everyone,

I have a 91 SE manual trans I want to see if anyone is interested in... I pulled it out and put a new one in because this one felt like the insides were destroyed and the guy I bought it from last year said his buddy tried to rebuild it and I figured he just failed horribly.

We pulled it apart at work to see the carnage and to our surprise, the internals of this thing are in phenomenal shape... The problem was the 4 main bearings were either not replaced or severely screwed when installing them. I work for Nissan so I have access to the bearings and can get them for you at cost if you are interested in this.

I would like to get $85 for the whole trans assy plus shipping and then the bearings are roughly $30 a piece so for not a whole lot you could have a very nice SE manual trans.

If anyone is interested, I can post pics of the internals as the case is still separated.
Thanks!
Nick

I am in need of this kind of transmission and I could come get it whenever. I would like a pro to put those bearings in, and if you could make it happen, it would be great to know the cost of that job. Please get back to me as I have dead max in Tn and need to get it back to Al. Thanks for posting

I have one, it's an old trade in that I got along with some cash in exchange for a rebuild. I've had a replacement bell housing for a couple years now because the original was cracked, finally got around to swapping them last week. Some teeth were damaged, ISB was blown to hell and back, but I'm going to install a new bearing and it should be fine. I doubt anyone here wants to pay for a replacement with some broken teeth, nor shipping costs from the west coast, but they're interesting pics.

Dominos pizza dough trays and a creeper are a perfect combo for working on these suckers
