i have a bit of a prob. my car has a not so loud squeking noise whenever i am at around 30 but only when i am accelerating. whenever i let off the gas or push it harder it doesnt do it. i thought it might be my fuel pump going out. any ideas?

 

checked your accessory belts? they could be a bit loose. when I replaced mine, my power steering belt was a bit loose and it would squeal a bit while turning the wheel in a parking lot. But now it's fixed of course

 

Yeah, I'd vote that it's a belt too. Check tension first. Then I'd get a good spray belt dressing and see if that changes the noise. If it does, I'd just replace all three belts.

When was the last time the belts were changed?

BTW - if it's not that, I'd also consider water pump, alternator, etc. The items belt driven...
