Reduced power help...

Hi
I have a Maxima SE 1993. I faced a kind of strange problem yesterday. It almost stalled yesterday after driving it for 10 mintues. My car wont go above 25 Miles/hour (or 2000 RPM) regardless what ever I did. Then I pulled off the road and checked under the hood. Oil, coolant level etc looked normal except the engine was kind of hot. I don't know whether it is normal for hot summer. I couldn't put my hand on the engine for more than a second..

Then I waited for 30 minutes the engine to cool off and tried one more time. Then it worked with out any hassle..
Today it ran well..

I don't know when it will stop again.. What do you guys think could be problem..

I changed Fuel pump 5 months back also had service.. By the way mileage is 60K

Appreciate your help

Your mass air flow meter is going bad. Go here www.car-part.com and find a junkyard near you with one. New these things are like $500+.

I have a good MAFS (used) for sale. I've tested it and it works fine. Let me know if you're interested. They are universal for all 3rd gens so it will fit VE/VG/auto/5spd
