does anybody know how to remove tint spray from their tailights without destroying them? thanks

 

NO. I had to do this on my 87 olds 98. I used denatured alcohol, but wasn't strong enough. I forget what I ended up using, but it made the surface cloudy. So I hit them with clear spraypaint and that made them look like new..no fog or cloudiness. Those lenses were red themselves. Not sure if it will sork for clear lenses.

 

How come your gettin rid of the tint? I'm actually wanted to know what you need and the steps on how to tint your tails becuase I have a 89 Black se and I think it would look cool.

 

Get this stuff called NITE SHADES. It is a tint spray. Just make sure you can get away with it..illegal in most states. I had to remove it to pass inspection.

you want tints and he doesnt , sounds like a trade to me..

 

Extra virgin laquer thinner. Wipe it once with that, and then once with water immediately, until it's all off. I have had success with this numerous times. My tails aren't cloudy...
