Need Newbie help with audio
Ok guys... I know i'm gonna get flamed for this... so I got my flame suit on... but I am a complete idiot when it comes to audio (well, more than that, but let's stick to the point)...
Anyway, can someone explain some of these audio stuff to me? Or send me to a good link where I can learn about audio? I have idea what an amp does.. or where tweeters are for or how subs attached to all of these... what speakers need how much power, watts? dunno.. can someone just explain some of these?
Also... I have stock stereo in my 93GXE... and i don't think they're the BOSE ones... because the rear ones seem more circular then the ones that everyone posted pictures on (and the one on craig's site)...
The reason that I'm starting to be interested in this is because I think i blew out my rear left speaker... but i'm not sure.. because I don't know what a blown speaker sound like... my left rear just keeps making these weird vibrating noise... but it still plays the music... can someone also go further on this for me?
Thanks guys... I don't care if you flame me, just hoping to learn something... I think I might just have to replace the whole audio system or at least the two rear speakers or something...

i'd be glad to be your .org audio guide. afterall, being unemployed, i have plenty of time. What i would recommend and what most maxima owners end up doing anyway is replacing everything. catch me on AOL instant messanger, my screen name is GavinFerrer . otherwise, post a specific question and i'll see if i can answer it.
