My 92 SE doesnt work right when the engine is cold....I start it and it almost stalls out then goes to an idle RMP of 750....when the engine is cold it should idle higher like at 1500RPM for a couple min. until it warms up then settle to a usual RPM of about 750......its all good once its warm....but what would cause it to do this now when I start it up when the motor is cold....what controls the cold temp idle.....I already switched the coolant temp. sensor.....what else should I check...????

few things might be wrong..
1. RPM Sensor
2. Alternator
3. Temp Sensor

 

Well I changed the Coolant temp. sensor, where is the RPM sensor and what is its function, and how should I go about replaceing it?? if it was the altanator what other symtoms would accur??
