how many miles does it have, and how good of shape is the car in? you might be better of just getting a new car. a tranny rebuild will be aroud 1400 im guessing, worth more than the car most likely. if you realy realy love your max and want to keep it, go for the tranny rebuild. but remember for a little more you can get a 94 5sp se.

that sucks, you love your car so much but it starts to act up. The mileage is good for the age of the car. If the car is in good condition in and out and mechanically despite the tranny maybe it's worth the fix but a 92-94 SE 5-Speed is better.

well if the car is in good condition, and the only thing it needs is a tranny rebuild, go for it if you love it that much.
