I have a 1992 Maxima SE I went to the parts store the other day for a pressure regulator. When they looked up the part they had my car listed as having th VG30DE engine. Did that engine ever come in a Maxima? I know they put them in the 300ZX. Has anyone else had this problem with the parts stores?

 

Most of the auto parts stores list the VE30DE as a VG30DE. very common. almost all of them I've been to have it that way. just go ahead and get the part, but make sure it looks just like the replacement on your car. (as you should do anyway, whether the engine code is correct or not)
