Gas leak after filling up

I've searched a little and seen talks about the recall and everything, but this is a general question.

When you fill up, does gas leak a little right afterwards and then stop after a short while so that it only happens right after fill-up? I had it checked out and Nissan seems to think that a lot of gas station pumps overfill and cause gas to come out of the vent at the top of the gas tank that's for releasing fumes. Does this happen to you all? I just noticed it recently, I've had the car 4 years, how could I miss something like this until now?

Oh, and just to vent, I've got to replace another freakin' regulator tonight!

Re: Gas leak after filling up

Mine does the same thing even after the recall. But, I don't think that the recall was done correctly at all. I mean for the recall they put a slant gas cap on it instead of a nissan cap. I called Nissan and they are told me to take it to another dealer and they will check it out. I have an appointment in a few weeks.

I was never aware of this recall but I always have that problem. The gas usually spills till it gets right to the edge of the tank thing but it does not usually get on my paint. One time the pump did not stop though and I took it out and there was so much gas that my rim got wet... not very fun
