rear suspension

well i am in brockport, which is near rochester and its damn cold here... Last night i was driving home from class and I noticed the back end was buckin like a bronco.. So i stopped to pull over to check it out, and the driver side rear tire was all tucked up in the wheel well, just sittin there... So i just drove until i could stop in some light, well i backed it up on a curb so that that wheel would be off the groud and it jusst stayed tucked in there... So today i went to the car wash and i jacked up that side of teh car and very very slowly the tire came down, and now it sits fine, but the suspension makes a ton of noise over bumps and the back end rides terrible.. Now I think that i need a new strut for that side... I am a college student and I am wondering what you guys woudl think about just puttin in maybe two new OEM struts in the back??? I dont relaly ahve teh money to do all 4, what about maybe two tokico's? let me know what you guys think......

similar, but opposite thing happened to my g'pa's 85 maxima
strut stuck in the extended position...so there was no dampening at all. Eventually, after high-speed speedbumps ect.. it broke loose. (p.s. i dont suggest that as a solution ).
as far as i know it still works..guess it was just stuck..

$58 for the whole thing, that's CHEAP for an OEM part. I am impressed. I wonder if they just sell the strut housing w/o the cartridge, then I can swap in an aftermarket cart and spring and have it all ready to go for a quick install. Sweet, I'll ask
