steering pull

ive been having a problem with my steering wheel and it pulling on me. mostly when i go through curves at high speed, it is hard to keep my car straight. it always pulls either out or in. ive also noticed that when i am going straight, if i accerlerate my steering wheel pulls a little to the left about 5 degrees and when i let go of the gas it rest to the right about 5 degrees. my steering wheel is never straight. i ordered new control arms and bushings but they havent arrived yet. is there any thing else that you guys think i should check or change? thanks

I recently had the same problem. I had to replace both my control arm and ball joint as well as do an alignment. It sure did fix the problem with my car but created a deep pocket in my wallet! Hope that helps.

I would try the alignment first. If that doesn't work then look into the control arms and other stuff. Check your tire pressure!

I had the same problem. It turned out to be tire imbalance between the front two tires (I'm not talking about the regular wheel balancing). I ended up rotating the front two tires with the rear two and the problem solved. Even the tires are the same model and size, there may be imperfections during production so that their rolling resistance are not identical therefore causing this problem.

I have the same problem. When I accelerate, the car pulls to the left a little, but when I let off the gas, it goes straight. I recently replaced the ball joints and the tires, so that made it a lot better, but it's still noticable. What are the tell-tale signs that the control arms are shot?

The high speed instability is a ball joint problem. I just bought new ones too because of that problem. I do not think you need all new control arms - just the ball joints.

As for the straight line pull, I'd have your alignment checked. I think the Tire Barn offers free alignment checks. But the former problem is most likely a ball joint issue. Does your car front wheel clatter when going over bumps?
