well i've been gone for a long while now cuz my comp was down becuase i was moving, and also becuase my car was in the shop after my timing sprocket just so happened to decide to break off and totally destroy my whole engine. but i could not just give up and throw out my beloved max so i took it to get fixed. cost me a nice 1200 bucks and a month of waiting but my max is finally back up and running. well anyone who deecides to read all of this i got it back but it still aint running like it did i have a nasty pinging noise somewhere in the belts area anyone know what it could be and what i should do? thanks for your help. I had the same happen thing happen to me about 2 months ago, but mine broke while I was driving 80mph on the interstate. I decided to replace the engine since I bent 4 of the valves and my old one had 200k on it. I got a new engine that has been bored out and the install for $1100. The engine has only 70k on it and was rebuilt at 56k. There is a noticeable change in performance. Iam glad to see that Iam not the only one who has had this problem.
