i have been looking for some better headlights since the stock ones can't fight off the snow and weather in wisconsin. if i bought the Nokya 80/100 watt 9004's for the headlights, what is the chance of melting the wiring harness, and what is the cost for a new one if i do? anyone care to reccomend a max voltage for the fogs? thanks.

chances are high...it would happen a couple months down the line...i believe the the harness is 60 at the dealer...cheaper to save now and spend the 50 bones for the upgrade...

check http://www.carparts.com or http://www.jegs.com ....its made by apc

found the harness

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...archresult=yes

if the link doesn't work
do a search for apc on http://www.jegs.com

it is listed as head light upgrade harness the one for 9004's (which are our headlights) is $51 + S/H

Will the wiring harness actually increase the light output or is it just to prevent the harness from melting?
Also, how hard is it to install the harness?

Thanks,
Roman

that is tough to say

By using a larger gauge wire you decrease the heat created by reducing the resistance in the path the electricity must travel. THe other issue is the head created by the higher wattage bulb. I can't say if these wires would prevent anything bad from happening to your head light sockets..
