need someone to look under their car for me ASAP -->
I'm in the process of replacing my ball joints. Strange as it may seem, on my left wheel, the bracket on the ball joint was under the control arm. However, on the right wheel, the bracket on the ball joint was on top of the control arm!
I finished replacing the one on the left wheel and had the bracket under the control arm, then got the the right and it was the opposite.
The FSM is almost very clear that the ball joint bracket is underneath the control arm, but I want to be sure and don't have the 92 SE here to look at.
If you would, please check and let me know where yours is.
Thanks,
Bryan

Jim,
Thanks a lot for the picture! That's exactly how they appear in the FSM too (but only in drawing form). For whatever reason, my right front tire had the joint above the control arm. Very strange.
Anyway, they're in and the car feels more stable and solid than ever.

All I can think of is a third party BJ that mounts on the top of the control arm. You see, it is not so easy to mount a regular BJ upside down
